Not salivating at all. I don't give a flip what California does with their state other than the fact I'd like to have a GOP Governor take Bush around and promote him next year. My solution would be, as you say, to have either McClintock or Schwarzenegger quit.
If McClintock quits, the people that make up his percentage points will either stay home or vote for Schwarzenegger (to defeat the DNC). If Schwarzenegger quits, his percentage points will either stay home (which could be a good amount since he will bring out a lot of riff raff that doesn't normally vote), vote for McClintock, or vote for Cruz (or someone else). Given this, the latter is clearly the best chance for the GOP to win the election. But as many on FR have shown, they hate the GOP to begin with and would rather have a Democrat in office to yell at in the first place. So, whatever, I say. Someone quit, or enjoy Cruz.
That is spin. Many people on this board just happen to value a good many positions that Schwarzenegger does not hold.
