Did you notice that this poll was taken before Simon dropped out? It showed Simon's support at 6%. I think it'd be a pretty safe bet that a good number of those Simon supporters will now be shifting their support to Tom.

Did you also notice that the poll was taken BEFORE Bustamante's $8 billion tax increase platform was unveiled? I was DUmptster diving on the dark side, and even they were angry that he was "taxing the poor with cigarettes and booze, he should have only taxed yachts or SUVs" (ahh to be naive and not understand my party's platform.)

In any case, this Bustamante guy pulled a Mondale, and will not be able to turn out the base any better than Walter did.
