Long term relationships in the homosexual (male) community are the exception rather than the rule.
However, I must confess that I have an elderly (70s) aunt who has been in a lesbian relationship with the same woman since the early 1960s.
And they do not trumpet their life, nobody really talks about it except on rare occasions of candor. In my 45 years, neither has ever mentioned it to me. They are both more like your typical blue haired knitting baby garment grannies....and they would never dare vote anything but conservative. LOL...a far cry from some Bay area activist.
They have always lived with her childless older sister btw....of course their home and garden is immaculate.

Well I think there is a distinct difference between men and women, for instance as a woman goes through menopause for the most part looses her sexual desire although many have sexual relationships in there golden years but that is an exception than the rule, Men are different in this way, I can laugh about this but my parents are in there 70's my mother is 71 and dad is 78 they are not intimate anymore my dad due to some illness yet my mother as she puts it says My dad cannot do anything any more but he would like my mom at least to talk dirty to him. LOL she tells him he's just a crazy dirty Old man and says he needs to go call 1-900" yet they have been married forever. There is a major difference between man and women as they age.

Long term relationships in the homosexual (male) community are the exception rather than the rule. It's a shame, but even my homosexual friends would agree with you, both male and female. which makes sense because they are all either in long term relationships or celibate.
Contrary to popular belief not all gay people are promiscuous.
