There is no sin so heinous that Christ's mercy will not cover it. Not to nit-pic, but blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the one unforgivable sin.

Not to nit-pic, but blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the one unforgivable sin. One who does not trust the Spirit's grace to seek repentance obviously cannot be forgiven, since they do not seek it.
Anyone who seeks the mercy of God can be presumed to not have "blasphemed" the Spirit.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was a unique sin that could be committed by rejecting Jesus as the Messiah when He was present for His earthly ministry. The sin also was a national sin (peculiar only to that generation) and the penalty for that sin occurred in 70AD.
