I have to say this did not sadden me. I truly believe this guy was one unrepentant SOB who used the Catholic church to gain access to young boys and men--some in the advocacy of this sickness may even consider him some kind of vaulted pioneer--think NAMBLA and some of the homosexual advocacy groups. May God have mercy on his soul.

I wonder, at what point after the conviction for the crime do they consider dropping the modifier "allegedly"?

Excellent news! One more sicko I don't have to support with my tax dollars! We should all pitch in and send the killer a pack of smokes. Now, why on earth is a convicted killer who just killed again being kept alive?

Why do killers get to live much longer than their victims did? Someone please explain this to me...

I just read the New York Times article on this. In their usual grandiose way, they have titled it "The Death of John Geoghan".

Now, when this man was in the midst of his criminal legal proceedings, it was more emphasized that he was a pedophile. He wasn't necessarily labelled homosexual in "mainstream media" articles.

Now that that crazy psycho has killed Geoghan, media like the NY Times seem to be pointing out that Geoghan was homosexual. They point out that the killer "hated homosexuals" and that the killer had killed one before, and "targeted" them, and they suggest that homosexuality on the part of Geoghan was the sole reason that this nut killed him.

IMO, pedophiles have no real sexuality--homo or hetero. IMO, they are so dysfunctional that their behavior and attractions cannont even be called a sexuality. JMO.

Several articles say that the crazy psycho (Druce) himself had been raped as a child. Maybe, like, this creature killed Geoghan b/c said creature had been himself subjected to sexual activity beginning at about age 7, and b/c he knew that Geoghan had committed the same type of crime?

I think I'll just reserve my sympathy for George Rollo, the earlier victim of this Druce. Rollo picked up Druce hitchhiking. Rollo put his hand on Druce's leg. Druce responded by killing Rollo in a hideous, gruesome way. I'd say Rollo's come-on, however abhorrent it might have been to someone who was not interested, was not even in the same universe with what Geoghan had done in the past.

So the articles say Druce was repeatedly sexually molested by a man, when Druce was a young boy. Is it too much of a leap to say that this repeated molestation probably contributed a lot to make Druce what he is today?

So how many Druces did Geoghan help to create? Maybe one, maybe two... maybe a few more. We'll see--unfortunately.
