Yes...I believe that many if not most on this board who oppose Moore have a problem with right wing Christians most of whom tend to be Protestants...and Southern to make matters worse. Except for Reagan and W the elder, Catholics have tended to go Dem by a sizable margin and they went Dem for Gore as well.
But, that is not my point on this particular thread.
I pointed out that the groups opposing Moore are also lined up against Pryor in the Senate....and they damn well are and you know it. I established that connection. It's irrefutable.

You ignorance is TERMINAL.

How many divorced people, especially men, have you met who thought they got a fair shake in their divorce decree? How many defendants held liable for negligence admit they made a mistake? How many people in jail will admit they did the crime? Having a Chief Justice take the position that people don't have to obey court orders they disagree with is a prescription for anarchy. I don't like the federal decision any better than the others on this thread but the way to go about changing this is not to tear down the rule of law.
But the rule of law has ALREADY been torn down by the DemocRATs when Clinton got away with perjury. Don't you see, the longer we tell ourselves that we have to follow the rule of law and they don't, they win and we lose!

I am in full support of Judge Moore, but heard an interesting statistic on Christian radio yesterday and thought an informal "poll" might be in order.
The quesion is this:
Does your CHURCH have a copy of the 10 Commandments posted?
I must observe that mine does not. A conservative, evangelical, Bible teaching body, I might add.
According to the speaker on the program I was listening to yesterday, only 2% of American churches have a copy up and visible. Does yours?

This gives Bush a chance now to appoint him to the Supreme Court.

Doesn't the SCOTUS chamber have the 10 Commandments chiseled in stone?Yes, but that is different. That rock isn't guilty because there is no record that the artist wanted to convey a religious theme. If someday we discover some old diary that says the artist did indeed desire to promote religion through his art then it too will have to come done.
Attributing intentions to a rock is just plain nuts. We have crossed the line to insanity.

Would you expect either one of them to even comment? No, I wouldn't expect it, but I think they should both sit through another viewing of The Patriot and Gods and Generals to put a little steel in their spines.

Hmmm...I'm a filthy Papist, but I still don't think the federal judiciary has any business dictating how the Alabama Supreme Court decorates its building.

I like W as a war leader.
Domestically, he is more of a politician than I realized at first. He is not as chummy with the religious right as Ronaldus Maximus was.....even though that steady voting bloc is what got him elected.
LOL...we're like the blacks are for Dems...dependable when needed.

Actually, I think Moore will probably be in a good position to replace RINO Riley as governor the next time around. Won't THAT make the Moore-haters cringe.

I'd say these zealots need to start working on their own houses before trying to erect religious symbols in court rooms.

I stand with Judge Moore.
From reading the posts on the Judge Moore threads and seeing those who are attacking him I realize that he is a better individual than I thought he is.
If the old saying is true than you can tell a person by his enemies:
Judge Roy Moore is a blessed man.

You've already been banned once. So have a lot of people here... :-)
In fact, there is one guy who's posted quite a bit on this issue, and who's not a big fan of Judge Moore... *ahem*

What a sad day for America and those who believe in Freedom.
At the same time tyrannical governments (federal and state) are infringing upon the enumerated Rights of Americans on a daily basis, they are bastardizing these same enumerated Rights in order to suit a statist, anti-American, anti-Christian agenda.
For those who are constantly repeating the 1st amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion", and claiming that Judge Moore is attempting to do exactly that, I have the following to say.
The federal and several of the state governments have violated this same amendment by doing what they accuse others of doing. They have illegally enacted an established religion which is the worship of the Almighty State.
They demand complete and total adherence and obedience to this entity. They have stated repeatedly that there is no authority above that of the State. Neither God, nor a man's conscience, nor his moral values can usurp the will of the State. They have made this abundantly clear in the school room, the jury room, and now the court room.
Furthermore, this "religion" illegally established by the gov't has more in common with a cult than any legitimate religious organization. They compel everyone to follow them. They threaten those that do not with the loss of their property, their lives, and their Freedom. They demand that no other religion can exist any place that their ever-expanding realm encompasses. They operate in a constant state of paranioa where they view "we the people" as the enemy, and those that step out of line or suggest adherence to another authority (such as God or the Constitution) as revolutionaries or terrorists.
This is not the country our Founders set up under the Constitution, nor is it the country that millions have shed blood for in its defense. Over the past decades, our legitimate government has been overthrown by forces of darkness that seek to destroy this nation by not only usurping the Constitution, but by removing the very ideals that this country was founded upon, such as a belief in individual Rights that come from God.
They will not stop their assault until every vestige of Freedom in this country is destroyed so that they can have their global government. And with no recognition of God, there will be no Bill of Rights under this tyrannical global government.
Unless there are others in this nation with the integrity and patriotism of Judge Moore, America is doomed.
