[history]
Los Angeles -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, in a split with California's Congressional delegation, said Thursday she is so outraged by the recall election that she'll refuse to vote for a replacement candidate despite the presence on the ballot of the state's No. 2 Democrat.

I'd love to be in the voting booth with her to see if she stands by her word. I wouldn't bet on it if the race seems close.

Two comments about Feinstein's announcement:
1. Obviously this is a none-too-subtle slap at
The Wreck Of The Cruz Bustamante. She is smart enough to know that he's a not-too-bright leftist who's gotten by, thus far, on luck and exploitation of ethnic angles. Plus, he openly defied her call for other Dems to keep out of the race.
2. She's lying, in my opinion. Notwithstanding #1, of course she'll not throw away her vote. Whatever else DiFi is, she isn't one to relinquish power for no good reason.

I just find it hilarious to hear all these Democrats spew their "outrage at the recall election." Imagine a bunch of peons thinking they have the right to choose their own leaders by popular vote without having them vetted by the parties and their special interest benefactors first, just because it's in the constitution! Why, da noive!!

Rush brought up the point that this appears to make DiFi anti Hispanic since she is saying do not vote for the hispanic guy. If this had been a Republican the liberal media would have been all over her.

If, by some fluke, boostamoutain were to win, it would make it very hard for her to maintain the option of running herself in '06.

Boxer is now saying the same - no on recall - not voting for a replacement.
This only helps the GOP - so who cares.

Time for some smart Golden State Repubs to start printing and posting fliers that say "Democrats - Show your outrage - Boycott the recall election!"

He must have paid her off with something REALLY BIG. Unless of course he has some "secrets" on her.

Davis, meanwhile, appeared with Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer in the Los Angeles beach suburb of Santa Monica, not far from Schwarzenegger's restaurant, Schatzi, to hand out $53 million in grants to environmental groups

Davis is toast, the Dims got the power call from Bela Pelosi, Bubba and the Black Queen for Plan B, and this is it. Feinstein is just grandstanding. She'll do a 180 after the recall.
