I agree that it is unamerican to single out a race of people (Blacks), use them as political ploys (postpone the recall until March, 2004), all under the guise of "protecting minority rights."
The ACLU knew all along those counties had yet to change their voting machinery - they could have cared less.
Had it not been a major, MAJOR political embarrassment for the Democratic Party for Gov Davis to be recalled in humiliation, the ACLU would have never even approached the subject.
