Jesus came because human beings could not obey them so instead of the ultimate Punishment DEATH we have a chance of eternal life through Christ.

You need to do your best to obey the Ten Commandments but if you fail then ask for forgiveness.

Courts might not forgive you but G-D will

Also, Jesus' fullfillment of the law, was to show how we could not possibly keep the commandments due to human sin, but the 10 commandments are STLL LEGITIMATE, allowing for forgivness when they are broken.
