Would you admit that you are somewhat "uneasy" with evangelical Christendom?

I don't think Moore is a Charasmatic.....I assume he is a Prod...everyone here says he is and it is Alabama.

This particular case is not my precise beef. I fear that there are forces at work that wish to eliminate God from the public arena entirely and I think the history of the past 40 years proves that.

Now, I am as you know not terribly pious and don't want to see strip clubs outlawed everywhere and all sorts of heavy handed morality imposed on everyone any more than you. I see this as an offensive to bring back the original interpretation of the "state religion" aspects rather than the "wall of separation" doctrine.

But that's just me. What are the polls in Alabama? I'm curious?

I'm not sure that "uneasy with evangelicals" is exactly the term that would apply to how I am about it - I'm generally OK with evangelicals up until government starts getting mixed in. Of course, to be fair, I've known Orthodox that you don't want to get mixed up in with government, either, and who would be ethnic versions of Roy Moore, just doing it a little differently.

It may just be that I'm simply leery of the overly dogmatic.

As for polls, hopefully the GOP won't take much of a hit from this, and if Riley can get off his pro-tax bandwagon, everything will be OK.
