The irony of so many the responses on this article is that these arrests were in no way related to actual acts of protection of the stone idol.
These would be arrests done to remove trespassers, and done under the putative direction of the Supreme Court of Alabama.
Of course, you could expect any form of tactical timing of arrests in civil disobedience by a bunch of slackjawed mouth breathers.

Where has America gone? There used to be a Country named United States of America that was founded by people who believed in God. When did it disappear? I must have been sleeping. sad

The obvious question: "How did so many social liberals find the Free Republic website?!" Judge Moore is standing firm on biblical principles...that's more than we can say for countless men who will always wear frilly lacy panties and never stand on principle!

Can you imagine the reaction if this was aired on TV in the 50's?

Why not just build a glass enclosure around the tablets and call it a museum.

Great example of civil disobedience in action.
People break law they disagree with.
People get arrested.
Everything is functioning exactly as it should. Along with civil disobedience comes consequences no matter if you're conservative or liberal or anything else.
