There is much more to this article than Bush-bashing, and Sobran is only being consistent with his oft repeated view of what modernity or modernism is doing to us. We need people like Sobran, "square" as the pope, to periodically provide a reality check. He is like the voice of our own conscience which we want desperately to "shut up" lest it impede our own persistent urges to grab hold of the modern trolley, losing sight of the fact that just because everyone else is doing it, that doesn't make it right.

I, too, get impatient with Sobran, but like Pat Buchanan and some others, their positive input far outweighs the negative. I may disagree with some of their views but would never want them to quit bugging me with things I may tend to forget.
