I just spoke to some friends in New York. Raving liberals, but I maintain a professional relationship. They're all "outraged" that Bush didn't personally call any governors or mayors (evidently these powerfull men and women need a lot of handholding) to offer his support in their hour of trial.
They're really up in arms about it. I suspect it will be a big subject at the usual press conference at the White House.
It is truly a sad state of affairs when the liberals choose to use a dangerous and fragile situation such as this as a Bush bashing opportunity.
