I saw a post that half the country in the dark. Not making light of what has happened but half the country? I thought this was NYC and parts of NJ? Anyone have a map up?

It was maybe 15% of the country. NYC, up the Hudson to Albany, go west along the NY thruway to Syracuse, then a ring along the US side of Lake Erie, Erie Pa, Cleveland, Toledo, to Detroit.
On the canadian side follow the ring around Lake Ontario to Toronto and then up the corridor to Ottawa.

Actually, it isn't near half, but it covers all of New York, about 1/2 the state, Cleveland, Toledo and Akron, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, and Toronto and Ottowa. One radio station estimated about 50 million people without power. I beleive that.
