I'm lucky and live where you can see the stars most every night -- and I've been without power for as long as three days. In a ways it's good for us ----- to realize we can survive without being completely dependent on that kind of thing. It's always good to keep some candles and flashlights around.
Lucky, indeed. It's one of those "gifts" we thank God for.
Not to get sappy, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the millions affected - especially the elderly.
