On ABC News: Specialist saying Homeland Security said terrorists threatened to affect electricity in August. Specialist is saying that three separate software packages designed to prevent this very thing have obviously failed.

I don't trust the DHS when it comes to anything having to do with computers (not just because they chose to use Windows everywhere either), nor do I trust any software to be %100 secure or bug-free. I wouldn't be surprised if some worm/etc. does serious damage, including damage it was never meant to do (remember the first worm back in the 1980s which brought down large portions of the internet).

Has anybody in this thread brought up the issue of whether or not this is the beginnings of S-K-Y-N-E-T becoming active? Arnold is running for governor, but perhaps he can pop over and do something about it.

The specialist on ABC mentioned the worm currently on the internet and said it's a possibility it played a part in the failure of the 3 software packages that were designed to prevent this sort of problem.

Said forensic cyber specialists would need a couple of weeks to determine why it happened.
