Answering a question with an assumptive statement isn't quite what I was looking for. We're not talking about Salem witch trials here. We're not talking about religious zealotry. We're not talking about extremeism. We're talking about right versus wrong and how there has been a general relaxation in what we accept as right or at least OK.

I'm just asking you for a realistic example of how moralism can be counterproductive?
