Well, first, because I do try to keep up on current Bible trends. Second I know pidgin ASL and as such pidgin language does not pose a problem for me to comprehend--a literal word-by-word translation in pidgin ASL looks just like what f.Christian would say (without punctuation). Third he answers in a coherent way. I've asked him questions, unrelated to evolution, before, such as if Baptism was needed to be saved and why he made a distinction between ID and evolution. He did answer in a coherent way (his answers were: baptism isn't needed for salvation; ID is inclusive of God and evolution isn't.)
