It's sad that some view science as liberal. I consider it very conservative myself. In order for a scientific viewpoint survive the test of time, it comes under massive scrutiny. I doubt that there has been any theory that has come under more peer review than the theory of evolution.

Exactly, Evolution has been one of the most tested, most closely scrutinized theories in science, and it continues to hold up to all tests given.

But when a theory in science competes or disagrees with a literal interpretation of the bible, some are bound to get a little bit PO'd. Not many, but some, and they are a very vocal group, and minority in the christian religion.

It's too bad too, because trying to use religion to somehow discredit a scientific theory, tells me a lot about the person attempting it.

And to hear some of the "evidence" that YEC's come up with to say that evolution is false is hilarious, the problem is, they actually believe it. Which is the saddest part of all.

If their faith is hinged on the bible being totally unerring in every way shape or form, and that EVERY story has to be the literal truth, then I believe that that person has a problem with thier faith.

It is time for them to take a close look at themselves and why they need to believe literally in order to have the faith in god that they have chosen, instead of blaming a scientific theory for their lack of same.
