No, not birds. Actual recognizable dinosaurs. Over the past several centuries, including some recent, there have been spottings by reputable sources of animals resembling pterodactyls, plesiosaurs, and other dinosaur like creatures. One of these places where the most spottings occur has been in the swamp land of Africa. Some in New Zealand, some in Venezuela. There is a very convincing case to show that not only have they existed throughout time (they weren't called dinosaurs in ancient literature as the word wasn't even invented until 1841) but they exist today.

The discovery of any one of these would be very, very cool. However, you do realize of course that the Theory of Evolution concerns itself with when species split off from one another - it doesn't care how long a species will last before it becomes extinct?

You don't think that finding a small population of living dodo birds or carrier pigeons or Tasmanian wolves would invalidate theories of how they came about in the first place, do you?
