Alas, no decent referencing on that link. But note reference to Hebrews and lightning.

Indeed, I note the use of the word lightening! Great catch! It appears some of the ancients drew a relationship between lightening (as in weather) and meteor showers.

I'm still looking for any indication that an ancient prior to 1 Enoch associated lightening with the death of a star.

Note that meteor, as in shooting stars, and the meteor as in meteorology is the same term. It's a weather thing.
