Bravo! My sentiments exactly. Seems as if ALS and f.gobblygook attempt to disrupt the discussion of science with BS. I don't agree with evolution followers going out of their way to disrupt creationists on threads devoted to that topic either.
As for the direct debate b/w the two camps... I see no purpose. I have yet to see one post where anyone has indicated that they have been convinced by an arguement from either side. How do you describe color to the blind?

I don't agree with evolution followers going out of their way to disrupt creationists on threads devoted to that topic either. It would be like every time there is a "pray for President Bush" thread, a bunch of people jumping on to that thread saying that God doesn't exist, your prayers are worthless. Science is God, quit deceiving yourselves. Then not saying it just once, but spamming the thread repeatedly.

The aims of the Creationists are identical with the aims of the PostModernDectonstructionists. Both are attempting to destroy scientific inquiry as a meas of obtaining knowldge. Both groups claim to have "higher knowldege" obtained by non-scientific means. (So do Scientologists for that matter.) If there is a conflice of observation with "higer knowledge," they repudiate the observations. The is exactly backwards from the scientific method of "saving the phenomena."
