No, I think it's the red meat that people object to. They have been so brainwashed about cholesterol and threatened by the PETA freaks that the idea of eating meat every day is beyond the pale for them. The fact is, we don't eat any more red meat than we did before starting the diet.

Actually RED meat is GOOD for you. You need the protein and I forget which but I believe it is the B-12 that you can't get from other sources other than red meat. Also the protein from veggies is NOT sufficient. You need MEAT protein.

Being a vegan is actually a spiritual experience for some. Totally misguided but they have this Disney view of meat. Vegans may look good but they don't live as long and since they are nutritionally starving their bodies have lots of health problems. Again the allopathic crowd REFUSES to inform the patient that they are committing nutritional suicide. They WANT the office visits so "respecting" what is insane is to their benefit.

I read that drinking red wine when you eat the meat (and there's only a couple of carbs in a glass) is the best way to combat the cholesterol problem that sometimes accompanies consumption of more meat. I assume it works that way--and what a way to go!
