It isn't U. S. technology any more. It's now Chinese technology. In five years their technological capability will pass ours.

I wouldn't bet on that. I still have faith in America, despite the best attempts of corrupt politians and some corporate leaders. What do our collective "Skunks Works" have in the pipeline that would blow your socks off is, well, any ones guess, but I bet its good.
