The very idea that if you eat a cheeseburger or lasgne you can't get to heaven COULD be what's making her think twice about Jewish Food Laws. I never could understand how eating pork could keep you from heaven. Following the dietary laws is about obedience to God, not about gaining eternal life. If God asked you to give up Snickers bars, would you listen? Or would you ignore Him?
God would never ask for such stuff. Not eating Snickers does NOT get you to heaven.
