I react completely opposite when it's too hot. I go into energy conservation mode. I turn out all the lights, take off my clothes, open the windows but leave the shades pulled, and lay around on the floor(thank god for hardwood floors). The less you move around, the cooler you are. The fewer appliances and electronics you have running, the cooler your house is. Can you tell I'm accustomed to NO A/C ?? I don't beleive in it. I think it's bad for your health. I think carpeting is bad for your health too, but that's a different matter. When it's over a 100 degrees, stay out of the sun(if possible), stay away from alcohol and caffeine, eat cold food and very little red meat, and do NOT get a sunburn. Sunburns screw up your body's ability to regulate body temperature. Red meat boosts your metabolism and body temp...something that is beneficial in cold weather, but not so good when it's over 100 degrees F.

You need to take another pill...don't you.

Actually, FP, I was reading that recitation with great interest. I think I'll try some of these suggestions from the poster. Especially if I can get Mr. Gun to join me in drawing the shades, opening the windows, and getting naked on the floor.
