ATTENTION
Big doins right now on high desert ATAC. They're surrounding a house in the vicinity of 200 ST E and AVE R.
"be advised we've got no cover and are sitting ducks if he's scoping us.."
"we need more units!"
They're surprising the location.
Sounds like they might think they got him, getting SB involved.
Air ship on scene.

Any portable radio would by now have a dead battery.
Unless the suspect had facilities to charge it, not likely that the officer had that with him at the time he was killed.
To: lainie
And the plot thickens ! The officer said the media is not welcome bump .

Wonder what's the significance of the LEO who left his patrol car roadside to get into the chopper? Wonder who he is.

Or the cops might not be able to prove their allegations, so they kill him.

He's listening to them. He probably knows that they're there.
To: lainie
I hadn't heard any digital id on a-tac, Usually a burp sound on key up, Maybe some other freq.
Changes the whole operation if the dirt bag has ears.
To: TERMINATTOR
Certainly there are LEO's that would do that . For the most part I support the Police .

They've been announcing via air unit for the last half hour, so he definately knows they're there. The idiot part is that he just shored up without a doubt that he's the suspect. (if all those turn out to be facts)

Suspect has a "lazy" eye, with tattoo underneath it, according to another. Thanks for the ping, listening......
There's a crying eye tattoo often seen on local gang types, means a "homey's" been killed. That may be what they're talking about.
Two airships (one going back to refuel, then they'll alternate), and a lot of empty space around there. Subtlety not needed, the suspect's not going anywhere.

No! That was the slain deputy's radio! It's definately him! Probably had it on to listen and grabbed it, squeezing the mic switch in the process.
Any hams know if or how they can ID a hand-held by it having broken squelch?
