The border patrol has the legal authority, and the proper training/experience, to stop people and challenge them. These people have no authority to demand anyone prove their citizenship.

Give some citizens a few weeks training, one week of basic Spanish, and they will make excellent bounty hunters. Sure looks like the Border Patrol can use some help there.

That's the same logic gun-grabbers use when arguing that only the police and military should have guns.
