From what I've gathered, the real 'uproar' is coming from Jews who are upset that Jesus was correctly portrayed as a victim of the politics of the Rabbis.

A liberal thwang I think. The more Christians who take their faith seriously, the fewer Democrat voters, the fewer abortions, the less filth peddled in our society, the more people opt out of government schools and so on. Mel Gibson is a threat to the money which fuels the liberal agenda.

Anti-Catholic!!?? Who were the fools who said that? It is only "anti-Catholic" as far it is against what "Catholics for Free Choice" stand for.

Saw a lady "expert" from one of the think tank type outfits attempt to attack the film on O'Reilly the other nite. She stuttered for 4 mins but could never refute a claim about the historical accuracy of the film.
One government uses another to rid themselves of someone who challenges their power/control. The story isn't unique to history, just the victim.

Seems like atheists are doing the most amount of griping
Specially those of the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, People for the American Way,
variety..
They dont belive in God yet complain about the historical truth being told..
They wish to prevent this message ..much like their kindred spirits nearly two thousand years ago did...
They are the modern Pharasies and Sadducies...
Anyway we should thank them for their roles..their God ordained roles...
Peter once proclaimed "let this not be" to His Lord and Master Jesus when Jesus told Peter of what was to come...and was rebuked by The Lord
Without His "death" and subsequent resurrection non would be saved all would be lost...
His sacraficial death is our salvation...so thank you Pharasies and Saducies ..So No Hard Feelings..honest
However now the ACLU and kith & kin want to stop the "Good News"...and for that they get no thanks but rebuke..They simply do not want the good news of Messiah preached anywhere-
And why would they...as they are only doing their master's work for him...they are anti-Christ
plain and simple hiding under masks of "Public Good"...or wrapping themselves in the flag..
spreading the lie of "wall of separation" ..twisting the words...to suit their agenda...
imo

I haven't read one word from any of them. The main criticism I've seen has been from Rabbi Marvin Hier (Simon Wiesenthal Center), Abe Foxman (ADL), Frank Rich (New York Times), Lewis Regenstein (Jewsweek),Paula Fredriksen (The New Republic)| Daniel Treiman (The Forward) and 4 liberal Catholic theologians--Mary C. Boys, Philip A. Cunningham, Lawrence E. Frizzell, John T. Pawlikowsk--all of whom are members of a Jewish/Catholic interfaith alliance.

Darn. I missed that. She is the one who claimed this film will incite violence. Did O'Reilly nail her on that?

Why can't Fox get it right? The film has not been charge with anti-Catholicism. There is no basis whatsoever for this statement.
To: ultima ratio
Some liberals have tried to float the idea that because Mel belongs to a conservative Catholic church, he is a heretic and therefore his film must be anti-Catholic.
The usual bizzaro world in which liberals live.
FOX should have ignored it.

Harvest Crusade Bump!
I've been to the Harvest Crusade many times and have to say that it is a very uplifting experience for anyone. Greg Laurie is a powerful speaker, the music is great by any standards, and many attendees rededicate their lives to Christ and hopefully a number of invited (unsaved) guests receive Jesus as their personal savior as well.

The Apostle Paul was most certainly a Jew.
Phillipians 1:1 "Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:..."
Phillipians 3:4 "though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so:
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;"

Saw a lady "expert" from one of the think tank type outfits attempt to attack the film on O'Reilly the other nite. She stuttered for 4 mins but could never refute a claim about the historical accuracy of the film. The missus and I saw that idiot on the other night. Had us screaming at the TV when she danced on the head of the pin after O'Reilly said there was a rivalry between Jesus and the chief priest, and she denied it saying Jesus could never become the chief priest, so there couldn't be a rivalry.
Here's what I'm going to do for the professor as an experiential lesson: I'm going to show up at Boston University with a gaggle of followers and start teaching contrary to what she teaches and calling her on it. Then, as her classes empty out to swell mine, I going to hammer her and her fellow professors as a brood of vipers. We'll see how long she'll sit quietly, secure in the knowledge that I'm not her rival because I could never be a professor before her blood boils and she comes after me. "Oh, you want me arrested and thrown in jail, Professor? Well, you just got an A in my class, and an F in yours!"
