Thanks for bumping my thread. The term "RINO" is best applied to purists who want to lose a race to Democrats by failing to support the clear frontrunner- Arnold Schwarzenegger. They call themselves Republicans but do the devil's bidding (Democrats's bidding) by supporting lost causes.

The term "RINO" is the most overused one on FR, and has thus lost all meaning. It is slung about like the snot from a drunkard's nose, for even the slightest of deviations from the "ideal" conservative line.

When someone uses it, It is best to simply "smile and wave, while backing up slowly..."

Wrong. The term "RINO" is best applied to a candidate who embraces every single solitary major position of the 'Rats while having the brass cajones to run as a Republican. Ah-nold is for whom this term so perfectly fits.
