"So far, I haven't seen any proof that he cheats on his wife or that he has assaulted women."

Yes, spoken like a true Clinton, er, Ah-nold supporter. Mind you, these are his positive aspects compared to all the rest, and I just threw them in for more proof of his lack of character.

"As far as smoking dope, if it is in the past then I really don't care. Most people that are under 50 have done some sort of drugs."

Really ? I turn 29 in a few weeks and somehow I've managed to stay away from drugs. I guess some of us are actually, ahem, responsible. But like I said, these are just more aspects of his weak character.

"You're just mudslinging, and I'm sick of it."

And I see you failed, madam, to read anything in that post regarding why Ah-nold's vision for California will worsen the situation beyond anything now. And I'm rather sick of that level of ignorance.

"It's a dem tactic that is so prevelant. The more mud swung at Arnold the better his chances. We're sick of mudslinging out here in California."

Madam, I will continue to tell the truth on this Socialist sleaze. You want to call it mudslinging, please go right ahead. I'll ask you the same thing I asked the other fella, what do you have against California to unleash this madness ?

You're younger than the 40-60 year old crowd. I'm 41, and the war on drugs was just being started. I never did drugs, but most of the people my age (and in their 20's or younger in the 60's) have at least tried pot. Most of them experimented, and that's it. They grew up and got over it.

It's like President Bush. I really don't care that he drank too much alcohol. He grew up, and stopped drinking. That's what I care about.

You don't live in California, so you are not personally worried about your or your spouse's job. You don't have kids in the public school out here. My husband thinks he's going to lose his job by the end of the year. My kids' school has lost it's science program and several very good teachers due to budget cuts.

We need to get someone in fast who can fix up this mess. Unfortunately, it will not be McClintock. He's a loser in a much easier election. He wasn't running for governor before, and he lost. He is not electable at this time. It doesn't mean that I dislike the guy. Heck, I wish a more conservative candidate was electable, but that isn't the case.

However, we cannot go on any longer in this state the way things are. Gray Davis has to go.

"Nope. I just have a grasp of history,"
and you said:
"I turn 29 in a few weeks"

a grasp on history? er... did you mean histrionics? or maybe what have a grasp on isn't history, but a rather vivid imagination, and a messianic bent on thinking YOU know the future.
