It use to not be is the point, and it seems like people are trying to make the republicans into a 2 issue party. Well, I didn't join the republican party for those issues.
I joined twenty-fiver years ago because I wanted lower taxes, a smaller federal government, and a strong national defense. Those were my main issues. I'm not pro-abortion and I don't support gun controls, but those are not my main issues.
I would not support someone who is anti-abortion and pro-2nd admendment if they were going to increase taxes, grow the federal government, and be weak of our national defense.
I have a priority system, and I think a lot of Republicans have the same priority system as I do.

Good for you. Personally, I don't support candidates who are hostile to the unalienable right to life and liberty...the foundational principles of our republic.
If you think it's all about money, and not about any issues that go deeper than that, that is your problem.
But when the God-given rights to life and liberty are gone, you will find out that there is no money left either. Of course, by then, it will be too late.
