The Fence the Wall and more.
Yesterday I was in the back area of South Jerusalem near Bethlehem, not a real safe place to be these days. But then how else can I get you these nice pictures. There has been a lot of talk about the fence so I thought I'd show it to you from an angle you may not have seen on TV News.
In this first picture you can see the new security fence that separates the southern part of Jerusalem from Bet Sahur and Bethlehem, but in the back ground you can see several other interesting things. The hill that looks like a volcano is a man made hill that was built by King Herod, the same who built much of the second Temple. It is said he is buried there, his tomb has not been found. From the top of that man made hill you can see his other desert fortress, Massada down at the southern end of the Dead Sea.
But there is also something else to notice in this picture, if you will look more closely you will see many Arab homes scattered over the Judean Hills, in an attempt to claim as much of the Holy Land as they possibly can.
But back to the fence, if you will notice there are two fences with running parallel with a security road in the middle for the IDF patrols.
You can also see the white sand on both sides it is always made very smooth and clean, in order to detect any tracks. The fence is also built with electronic surveillance, which can detect anything that touches it. It is not built with electricity to kill people as being reported.
This next picture shows Bethlehem and Bet Jalla to the right. You can see the fence more clearly with the white sand to detect tracts.
In this next picture I made a trip to the north central part of the country yesterday with a friend who is a French Journalist, and a Messianic Believer. You can find his site at http://www.ciaimages.com. He took many of these same pictures, but I remind you he is professional and you may want to see his work, please don't compare, mine is free. You can buy his at high resolution so you can print them out in high quality.
This is the much-talked about wall on the new highway that runs from Be'er Sheva to Haifa, not completely finished. But the stretch that runs along side the Palestinian town of Kalkilya where there has been many shootings as of late making the reason for the wall to be built.
The wall is not very long; in fact, it is just along the length of the Arab town to protect Israelis from snipers shooting at us from their homes. But if you listen to CNN or BBC you'd think we have built a wall from the northern border to the Egyptian border. When in fact it is nearly all fence.
I have to run but there are several other things I'd like to share with you today, if I get back in time I will send another report about Arafat and his double-dealings. I hope you like this little trip around Israel.
Pray for the peace Jerusalem, for our son Joel, for all the IDF soldiers and all those who come to fight the Islamic enemy. Pray for this ministry and your part in it.
Shalom,
jerry golden

Isn't that what the "settlements" are trying to do? The difference being that this is on the "other" side of the fence, intended all along to be Palestinian land....and many of those homes likely predate Israel itself.
