Both of which are in Monroe County (Western NY) - instead think IBM - their downsizing had a huge impact in the Elmira NY area Not to mention Endicott NY, which towns built by Endicott Johnson shoes early in the century then made financially secure and attractive by IBM for the next 50 years. Then IBM packed it in and moved everything out. Many thousands were moved to NC. Including nearly my entire family.
