I am not a member of any particular sect although I do believe in God. Were I a member of a Church I would expect the Church to live by it's own rules -- and from what I have read, the Bible is perfectly clear when it comes to homosexual conduct.

It is indeed. Homosexuals, like you and I, need the grace of Jesus Christ. They most certainly don't need to be coddled and told that everything is okay with their behavior when it isn't.
