I do not hear the Muslim leaders here and around the world speaking out. What are they afraid of - speaking the truth? Is that too alien to them? Yes, of course, it is.
Which Muslim country celebrates Truth?
What place on this entire planet is better off for being Muslim dominated?
What value have Muslims and the religion of Islam brought to the world?

I consider myself a tolerant person. However, I do not differentiate at this point, and it will take a lot more than a conference and some words spoken there to make me change my opinion of Islam.
Right now, I do not see it as a religion of peace. (Sorry, GWB, but this is one of the stupider remarks you have made since becoming president!)
I do not want any muslims as friends or neighbors. I do not trust any of them, period.
Now, when I see a change in muslim behavior, I will reconsider. So far, nothing I have seen, behaviour-wise, from any of the Islamic nations or groups makes me think that they, as a group, deserve any respect or acceptance.
If they do not like my thinking this way, it is easy to change my thinking. All they have to do is change their behavior, and I am not talking about terrorism here. I am talking about support for terrorism, silence about terrorism, and tolerating terrorists in their midst.

What value have Muslims and the religion of Islam brought to the world? Here's a fun experiment.
Get yourself a large map and mark out the spread of Islam over time. Transparent overlays are excellent.
Then make a series of overlays over the same time period, marking the spread of desert.
You'll be amazed. Or perhaps not ;).
