From "Tiger Mark" on the IMDb board ...
Oh man, I cannot get over how good this film was. Unbelievable! J-Lo was at her hottest and dramatic best. As for Affleck, this was 10X better than "Good Will Hunting." Throw in some cameos from Academy Award winners Al Pacino and Christopher Walken, hey, you have what we call in the industry, an epic movie. Although the story deals with hitmen and hitwomen (excuse me, Jennifer), there is also a real human element here. The film can be funny in one instant and then, one of the saddest movies you have ever seen. I think that is what makes for good drama, to be able to balance so many emotions and still tell an important story. I will be honest, I laughed quite a bit during this movie, but I cried more. I cried like a baby, because the chemistry of Ben and J-Lo was that damn good. I know it is early to start talking Academy, but it must be addressed. I really have to admonish the studio for releasing this film now, it should have had a winter or Spring release, so as to be fresh on the mind of Oscar. However, I don't think Oscar will soon forget this magical motion picture. Do yourself a favor and see it, do yourself a bigger favor and see it again. Citizen Kane, you now have a rival! Musta been an investor!

That's amazing. Especially for a movie that has been out for less than one week!!!

The sarcastic reviews I'ver heard and read are plenty entertaining. Much more so than the movie, I gather, and a lot cheaper too. I'll save my money and stick to the reviews.

A film this bad, however, can be terrific entertainment
I enjoy playing armchair MST3000 to bad cinema, but for some reason the film must age a few years first.
To: Luke Skyfreeper
It can't be that bad can it? I sort of suspect this is just backlash by a public sick to death of J-Lo and scornfull of her fake romance and self-indulgent attempt to cash in on it.
I hope her career is buried by this so that I never have to hear about her again.

I wish MST3000 was still around. Those folks would have had a blast with this flick.

Gee let me see, Ben Affleck plays yet another character swooning after a lesbian (Chasing Amy)! Seems in test screenings J-Lo's orientation didn't go over well so they reshot the ending.

I only wish that Julia Roberts had been in this travesty, so that the big career hook could have been set in her largemouth bass cakehole and taken her down as well!!
This is the kind of movie that makes you reach for your Ed Wood collection!!

During his eight-minute aria, he [Christoper Walken] minces, he glowers, he goes off on strange tangents...and, most importantly, he shows Affleck and Lopez (who are all but struck mute for the duration) what real screen charisma and star power are: he is so compelling that when he finally leaves, you wish that Brest would follow Walken around and leave the other dopes behind.
I am giving "Gigli" one star and that is only because of Walken: if Brest were smart, when the film hits DVD, he should only release that scene and stick the rest in the deleted scenes section.

The Wall Street Journal Friday agteed this movie is awful. What a pity they gave it the name of the sublime tenor Beniamino Gigli!

they have vowed never to work together again
the sexy pair believe their incredible fame and the gossip surrounding their upcoming marriage doomed the movie to failure before it was released...
However, fans will get one more chance to see them sizzle on screen together in Kevin smith's upcoming movie Jersey Girl, which will be released in February next year.
