You are perfectly free to oppose Hanson, preemption and unilateralism. I'm still sorting out my position on these issues myself, especially preemption. What you are not free to do, if you want to engage in fruitful public discourse, is assign positions to your opponents that they do not hold. And I submit that a sophisticated and learned thinker like Victor Davis Hanson never held that "Serbia [alone] posed a [security or military] risk to the United States."
