Maybe, but theres a lot of "had my baby in the hallway/taxi/street" stories out there.

Back in the day, nobody had babies in hospitals, there were no C Sections, and no anasthesia - still the case in many regions of the world.

Women are TOUGH in childbirth if allowed to be - of course, a great many women died of complications during childbirth.

Animals do it in total isolation all the time, as a matter of course.

Humans can certainly do it without medical attention, although I think most women who've had kids would agree the EPIDURAL is the greatest thing EVER.
