I'm confused! Just where is the point where people acutally get the rebate? I thought it was people below $40,000! I won't get one now, my kids are both adults. But one daughter and her husband have 3 kids, and she thinks they'll get one, they both work. Also, my older one's fiance is a single head-of-household.

I keep reading that those who only make up to about $26,000 don't make enough to pay taxes and get one. I do believe in both cases, maybe they do make enough to pay taxes. What is the level of income they have to reach to get one? Can someone tell me?

Just got an advance letter from the IRS yesterday which said my $800 check will be mailed within two weeks.
