After reading this thread and another thread and after talking to my husband, I think I am going to have to agree with you.
I watched "Queer Eye" and I wasn't offended, but it does normalize gays and to some extent glamorize their lifestyle.
If the show didn't have the same name and didn't flaunt that the guys were gay, then I would be okay with it.
I guess we are talking about a slippery slope here. I don't care what someone does in the privacy of their own bedroom, but these days the "gay" agenda is being pushed down kids in schools. Gays are trying to change the laws to allow same sex marriages and for companies to provide benefits for same sex partners. No telling where this is going.
The bottom line is that I'm a Christian and homosexuality is against my religion. I also think that God has practical reasons for saying things are wrong. One of the reasons why I think God said it was wrong is because of the spread of disease.
I don't want anyone telling my kids that it is okay.

Just my two cents.

Thanks,'mom,' I feel the same way. People have a right to do what they want to do in their own bedrooms, but to make it look like it's A-OK to be gay on television and try to normalize it sends the wrong message to our young people. It's not OK. I could probably watch Queer Eye and enjoy it for myself because I know a lot of gay men who probably act the way they do. They're good people, very amusing, and lots of fun to be with. But, to normalize it for young people just doesn't cut it with me. As a Christian, I know what God says it is, an abomination, so why glorify it?
