The Saving private Ryan complaint example was appropriate in terms of showing brutal violence on tv. It's a very violent war movie that young children should not see.

While I'd agree that young children should not view that film, it's easy enough for parents to not allow them to do so. NBC showed the film in prime time. Parents got to decide whether or not to view the film. I don't see the problem.

For this onemilliondads.com group to protest the showing of a film that expressed some of the most patriotic of sentiments and honored our fighting men seems a little off the mark here. Clearly, this is an excellent case for a little parental control. When would NBC have shown the film, other than in Prime Time? At 2AM? I don't think so.
