I have no idea what you are talking about when you say, your son as a recruit has to pay his share for retired military. Retired Military pay taxes also. Your son as a member of the Military receives medical care. I also think you have no idea what this is about. This is an opinion board so you are entitled to your opinion.

To those who are over-65, they have TRICARE FOR LIFE (TFL) it is a supplemental program to Medicare, nothing like TRICARE except for the name TRICARE in it.

Military Retiree health care is funded by DOD not Veterans Administration. These people spent 20 plus years in service to the USA, but are seen by many as just to be discarded, they are now too expensive, they might cost someone a few pennies. They were promised healthcare for life, they earned healthcare but as it seems it was a ruse to get them to do the dirty work of the nation. Protect eveyone else while everyone else was making a life for themselves, settling into communities while they were moving from place to place, these are soldiers, sailors, airman and marines, who fought the battles that needed to be fought so that citizens of this great country could continue living freedom.

BTW, I'm not a military retiree, just someone who appreciates what they have done for me and given to me.

I am not a Military Retiree, I'm married to one, as was my father and father in law military retirees. I also know many Military Retirees and I honor all of them for I do know what kind of honorable life they led.
