So far he hasn't kept his part of the bargainWhat would you like him to do ? Isn't it fair to give a new program time to work out the bugs ?

@has been in existence since 1995.
But the feeling of betrayal is not only at President Bush and GOP it is also at Democrats. It seems like these folks are always used and then discarded when seen fit. These folks gave the best years of their lives in Defense of this Country, they are not asking for anything that they didn't earn.
Also, Regular Army Retirees remain subject to military law. This applies to those advanced to a higher grade on the AUS Retired List, as well as those enlisted personnel assigned to the Retired Reserve to complete 30 years service. They may be ordered to active duty at any time by the President, and may be assigned to duties the President considers necessary in the interests of national defense. This pertains to Army retirees, I'm assume that the other services have something similar. Also Military Retirees are required:
For mobilization purposes, all retirees should report address or phone number changes to AR-PERSCOM as well as changes in your ability to serve (physical condition).
Also there is a big problem in this country. Very few people realize that this issue has nothing to do with veterans it deals with Military Retirees.
All Military Retirees are Veterans but not all Veterans are Military Retirees.
The Veterans Administration has nothing to do with this. It is Department of Defense which the Military Retirees are part of.
