I did NOT vote for "W" in the primary, but did so in the general elections. I would like to see an abortion ban law hit his desk and what his reaction would be. He went into office courting all of us who are pro-life but I sure haven't seen much action from him on this.

I work for the military and have for the past 33 years in one form or another and as a veteran who talks to several other veterans every day, he is treading on thin ice on veterans issues. Wouldn't it be interesting to see another veterans march on the capitol? I wonder what the reaction would be? Would Rummy order troops to open fire on them as was done before. What a great way to show appreciation.

I try to look at the big picture, SLB. Let's say that you are right, and that to a number of veterans, President Bush is 'on thin ice.' (You obviously know veterans with different opinions than the ones I know).

Let's say that the disgruntled veterans rise up in protest against a President who is obviously pro-military, respects those who serve, and who have served, and has had to repair 8 years of corrosion done by xlinton, and as done so admirably.

Let's say that these veterans make so much noise that they influence the election, and instead of George W. Bush, we get say, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Sharpton or Howard Dean in office.

It would make you think those veterans weren't able to see the forest for the trees, wouldn't it?

That is not to say that he shouldn't honor the promises he made. But most people understand that he's had to deal with the worst crises since he took office in American history.

I'm willing to give him the time to honor his commitment.

As to your off-topic insinuation that he is not pro-Life and won't sign the abortion ban law, it's utterly ridiculous.

The partial birth abortion ban is in conference. It will pass and will be signed.
