I heard Dennehy's stepfather say Patrick was a Chrisitan who had deepened his commitment to his faith and transferred to Baylor to be in a Christian University environment.
Unfortunately, I suspect he landed in a corrupt athletic department environment. Baylor is not a hotbed of virrtue...
This is really a shame - he and his family deserve sympathy.

As a Baylor grad, I can say that your statement sure is based on a huge assumption and very little fact. Could you please provide some sort of evidence to support your statement(s)?

Are you insinuating that a fine Baptist institution like Baylor is not a hotbed of virtue?
Why they don't allow drinking or dancing on campus . . .

It has not been proven that the family's accusations about Dennehy receiving money from coaches is factual.
I live fifty miles from Waco and many people think the coaches would not do anything illegal. Time will tell.
Main thing is who killed this young man and why.

He had recently obtained a gun and two pit-bulls. I think his parents only know so much about him. Like, what he told them on the phone. No parent (or very, very few) give an accurate assessment of their children.
