You're a liberal? The House sure acts that way sometimes.

Since you don't care, then I hope you don't mind if I ignore you forthwith.

Look, I apologize if I came off jerky on this thread. Realize I'm usually quite civil. It's just that these threads bring out the worse in me. I think the principles of neo AND paleo-conservatism are stupid and these types of threads feature two groups who I disagree with arguing with each other vehemetly. As a result, when I do jump into the fray, I'm defensive by default.

Again, sorry if I gave you a bit of an attitude.

The fact is that he's right. Reminds me of something Patrick Henry said once... what was that?

Cyber Liberty, may your chains hang lightly around your neck. Why are you so willing to sacrafice liberty for a false security? The Constitution is not a "here today, gone tomorrow", "it's OK as long as it's our guys trashing it" kind of document. I would wager a guess that 85% of problems in America today are a direct result of not following the Constitution, or making some kind of exception to the explicit boundaries written in it regarding functions of government.

I would post the quotes from Ben Franklin, Patrick Henry, Jefferson, Madison, Washington, etc, but I know my keystrokes would be wasted.

It's fine if you need some bloated, inefficient fedgov watching over your every move to make you feel safe, but don't monkey around with the liberties that the rest of us enjoy.
