Nope, I was not there and doubt you were present either.
So, we can both choose the story that we each prefer to believe. The character of Mr. Frum only leads me conclude he is not overly trustworthy.
The President usually speaks pretty glowingly of those who leave on good terms (Ari Fiescher comes to mind)...Frum seems to have shuffled off pretty much in the dead of night with not so much as a "don't let the door hit ya' in the a$$" from the President.

Frum was a lower-level staff functionary. His departure didn't warrant any comment by the President; the contrast with Ari's departure isn't valid. I only go by what I read. And the only person who said that Frum left on the White House's bad side was Robert Novak, who himself has sparred with Frum, giving him an axe to grind against him.
