Aw, it happens.

I tried to explain it this way once. The US government is a big ship. So big that you cannot ignore what it does. Even holing up in a hut in the wilderness is no guarantee that ship won't eventually run over you (ex. Ruby Ridge). You can leave it for a while, sitting in a lifeboat of "principles" if it makes it feel better, but eventually you get hit.

I'm trying to get the ship to turn. I can't do it from a lifeboat. It's not easy doing it while taking fire from friendlies.

They use tugboats. A little bigger than a lifeboat. And pilots who know the harbor. In any case, it's the small boats that direct the big one.
