Watching the animation of it's findings, I'm amazed at how much the gravity field varies. It appears that each continent has a band of higher gravity along one coastline. Wonder if that's why the continents are placed where they are.
I'm going to keep an eye on this, am curious to see how much the gravity field fluctuates from time to time.

I didn't view the graphic, but the stronger gravity is due to the heavy ocean basalt diving below the lighter continental crust, and you get a thick spot of heavy ocean basalt - like along the US West coast. The strength of the gravitational field is based on the mass of object. The cool part is no one knows what causes gravity. The force field that is most obvious to all of us is still not understood.
